Job Details: Job Location: State College, PA - State College, PA, Salary Range: Undisclosed, SCOPE OF POSITION WPSU is seeking a creative, collaborative, and results-oriented Marketing Specialist to promote WPSU’s programming, services, events, and community impact. The Marketing Specialist develops and executes marketing and communications initiatives that strengthen the WPSU brand, grow and engage audiences, support financial goals and sustainability, and increase awareness of WPSU across broadcast, digital, social, and community platforms. Working collaboratively with colleagues across WPSU, the Marketing Specialist translates organizational priorities into compelling campaigns that reach existing and new audiences. The position combines strong writing and storytelling skills with digital marketing, project management, and performance analysis. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns supporting WPSU programs, services, events, community initiatives, fundraising efforts, and organizational priorities. Create compelling marketing content for email, websites, social media, digital advertising, print materials, presentations, and other communications channels. Manage WPSU's social media presence through content planning, writing and asset creation, scheduling, community engagement, and performance monitoring. Develop email marketing campaigns and audience communications, including regular newsletters, promotional messages, and targeted outreach. Manage and maintain marketing calendars, campaign timelines, and project deliverables. Collaborate with content, programming, development, education, community engagement, and other teams to identify promotional opportunities and coordinate campaigns. Attend and promote WPSU in-person events and initiatives when appropriate. Coordinate the development of creative assets with internal staff, designers, producers, photographers, vendors, and other partners as needed. Maintain consistency with WPSU, PBS and NPR brand standards across marketing materials and channels. Monitor campaign performance using web, email, social media, and other available analytics; identify trends and recommend improvements. Conduct audience and market research to help WPSU better understand current and potential audiences. Help identify opportunities to expand WPSU's reach among new and underserved audiences across central Pennsylvania. Stay current on digital marketing practices, social media trends, audience engagement strategies, and developments in public media. Perform other marketing and communications duties in support of WPSU's mission and strategic goals. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, advertising, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field. Experience with social media and digital marketing platforms. #J-18808-Ljbffr
