The Boeing Company’s Defense Satellite Systems team is looking for a Financial Analyst to fill a Senior (Level 4) or Lead/Subject Matter Expert (Level 5) role in El Segundo, California. This Financial Analyst will be responsible for integrating the financials on a monthly and quarterly cycle, creating the customer’s monthly, quarterly and annual Contract Data Requirements List (CDR's). The candidate must be able to communicate and present to executive leadership and help lead discussions on providing financial and potential risk, opportunities or issue recommendations. The successful candidate will: Play an integral role in program teams and support financial reporting to the SSCP CFO Work independently with minimal direction, demonstrating initiative and a growth mindset Possess strong communication skills, a desire to understand the business, and the ability to build networks and solve problems Position Responsibilities: Senior – Level 4 Develop, review, analyze and maintain cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and communicate cost and/or schedule trends, and assess range of opportunities and risks Develop performance reports and integrate variance analyses, providing clear, concise understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management Work with Program/Project leadership team to handle a program baseline and implement Earned Value Management Complete the monthly forecast analysis and support customer deliverables Lead/Subject Matter Expert – Level 5 Perform all responsibilities outlined in Level 4 Act as Finance Subject Matter Expert (SME) This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Currently hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher 3+ years of experience in a finance-related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, or Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA) 3+ years of experience with Earned Value Management 3+ years of experience performing Estimates at Completion (EACs) 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel, using formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate data in Senior Leadership briefings Experience leading projects or teams Experience leading projects or teams with little direct supervision and driving projects to completion Experience with Deltek, COGNOS, COBRA, Earned Value Management software, and other accounting systems containing historical cost data Experience with financial planning processes and tools Conflict of Interest Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
