Be one of the first to apply — offer rates tend to be higher at this stage Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for an EP Lab position requiring 2 years of Cath Lab/IR/EP pre/post procedural experience and at least one completed travel assignment. Details Work in the EP Lab, Cath Lab, and IR Prep and Recovery areas of a hospital Average daily census of 15-30 patients across 12 rooms Day/evening shift options: 3x12-hour shifts, 6am-6pm or 9am-9pm No on-call requirements No holiday coverage required Uses Cerner charting system Requirements Active RN license (Compact or MD) required Current certifications: BLS and ACLS Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required Must have pre/post procedural experience; Cath Lab, IR, and EP Lab experience preferred Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment Community hospital experience preferred Cerner charting experience required Skills required: IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs Experience with cardiac telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown settings preferred Experience managing cardiac drips (no titration), isolation precautions/PPE, respiratory support (nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration and tanks), pacemakers (temporary/permanent), post cardiac angiogram care, pre/post cardiac cath care, and TR Band use Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience within the previous 3 years Additional Information Precepting is required for this role Scrubs are provided No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment RTO limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract and must be submitted with initial application Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a lower rate Previous MedStar employees must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a travel nurse Manager interviews are not guaranteed; candidates should be comfortable proceeding without one These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
