Slot Technician II - Slot Operations

Job Summary This position is responsible for installing, upgrading, converting, servicing, adjusting, and repairing slot machines. Under the direction of Slot Operations, the incumbent will apply electrical theory and related knowledge to test, repair, and maintain slot machines and related gaming equipment. Essential Job Functions Performs all repairs and service requirements necessary for slot machines and related gaming equipment. Train and coach Slot Tech I. Performs installation, configuration, diagnostic testing, and final testing of all slot machines and associated equipment in accordance with manufacturer Operation and Service Guide, and department policies and procedures. Remove and replace failed replaceable units during installation and upgrades in accordance with manufacturer Operation and Service Guide, and department policies and procedures. Ensures all slot machines on the casino floor operate according to company standards. Rebuilds parts/equipment during downtimes and maintains the parts inventory as assigned. Prioritizes workloads to meet business demands. Circulates through the assigned area performing repairs as necessary. Ensures that all slot/storage areas are cleaned and organized. Responsible for the initial set‑up and testing of all new slot products. Completes all regulatory/operational documents thoroughly and legibly. Assists in the training of subordinates and in the development of new methods and techniques for training manuals. Maintains the integrity of the slot machine equipment and secures all company assets and property at all times. Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with mechanical/electronic aptitude required. Minimum one year slot repair experience in a casino environment. Ability to use basic hand tools and testing equipment and exhibit superior communication skills. Working knowledge of computers and practical knowledge preferred. Ability to solve practical problems using technical and industry knowledge. Electro‑mechanical skills. Effectively uses manufacturer documents to troubleshoot and repair components (e.g., schematics, principles of operations manuals, technical manuals). Constant commitment to excellence regardless of task or responsibility. Ability to read and understand all Seminole Tribe of Florida policies and procedures and to communicate effectively with guests in English. Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) specific to position responsibilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interface with all levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple projects and to prioritize tasks. Time‑management and project‑management skills. Collaboration and flexibility required. Knowledge of database and internet communication technologies. Knowledge of RAM Clear, IGT, WMS, and Bally systems. Work Environment Regularly required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, talk and hear; also required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, climb stairs, and sit. Specific vision abilities required include close, distant, color, and peripheral vision. May be exposed to casino‑related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second‑hand smoke and excessive noise. Hiring Preferences The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promotion, and all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements.
