Description

The Sr. Cloud Solutions Analyst will become the Cloud Solutions team’s primary specialist for Microsoft Azure infrastructure, filling a current expertise gap within a fully cloud-based environment. The role will own and support Azure networking and security capabilities while helping maintain reliable, secure access to infrastructure, applications, and services used across the organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include resolving operational tickets and access issues, administering security policies and tools, completing patching and certificate renewals, monitoring performance, and executing approved changes. The analyst will also contribute to strategic cloud initiatives through solution design, project preparation, implementation, communication, documentation, and change management. This investment adds the specialized Azure knowledge needed to reduce operational risk, improve cloud support, and increase the team’s capacity to deliver infrastructure and security projects. The position ultimately supports the client's employees whose work helps public and private clients address water, infrastructure, and environmental challenges.

1.) Cloud Networking: Strong knowledge of cloud and internet-based routing, network protocols, traffic flows, and firewall concepts. This skill is essential for administering Azure networking and the security platforms that depend on sound network design and troubleshooting.

2.) Cloud Security and Security Policy Management: Experience managing security policies, segmentation, zero-trust access, data loss prevention concepts, and related controls. The role will help manage Illumio microsegmentation, Cato zero-trust network access, access policies, and security tools while protecting east-west traffic and user connectivity.

3.) Microsoft Azure Infrastructure: Hands-on administration of Azure services, including Azure networking, routing, security, Key Vault, compute, storage, and related cloud resources. This person will become the team’s primary Azure specialist and strengthen both daily operations and project delivery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Azure networking and security services, including routing, firewall policies, Azure Key Vault, microsegmentation, and zero-trust network access.

Independent troubleshooting and operational support experience covering tickets, access issues, patching, certificate renewals, and scheduled infrastructure changes.

Basic PowerShell and Azure CLI scripting used to support cloud administration, automation, and repeatable tasks.

Understanding of security and compliance practices, including SOC 2 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

Strong project execution, communication, organization, and collaboration skills for coordinating changes and managing competing priorities.

**Experience and education: Typically five or more years of relevant experience in a similar role, plus a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience. Experience supporting strategically important projects and providing guidance to colleagues is preferred.

**Preferred certifications: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals and Azure Administrator. Additional relevant Azure certifications are strong differentiators. MS Teams or Meraki certifications are welcome but are not primary selection criteria for this opening.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $62.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
