Grant Administrator

Overview GRANT ADMINISTRATOR – Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland (PBRC). The organization is a mission-driven social justice organization coordinating free legal services and seeking a professional with significant grant experience in the nonprofit sector to manage multiple governmental (including state and local grants) and foundation grants. Relationships in and knowledge of Maryland’s legal and/or philanthropic community are beneficial. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, a self-starter, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. They will be responsible for grant compliance and assist with grant drafting/editing. The position is primarily remote but located in the DMV area. Primary Responsibilities Oversee all grants and reimbursable contracts to ensure accountability and compliance with existing federal, state and local laws and regulations and all grant requirements. Provide guidance in interpreting and executing applicable regulations and award terms and conditions. Ensure that documentation, applications, and reporting requirements are met prior to due dates. Develop and memorialize policies, procedures, and systems in accordance with government regulations and organizational needs and objectives. Work with program managers to create and inform program budgets and assist with financial backup. Maintain a system for policies and best practices related to PBRC compliance with grants, including a tracking schedule for grant renewal and reporting deadlines and responsible parties for tasks. Review and approve all grant-related payment requests, bills, invoices and statements. Annually review and update Grant Management Policies and other applicable policies to ensure compliance with current regulations. Work with Directors to nurture current foundation relationships, identify new foundation prospects, and assist with grant-writing and editing. Assist in developing fundraising goals for the organization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in fundraising. Strong attention to detail, with experience in grant writing and grant management. Computer literacy, including competency with MS Word, Excel, websites, and database management. Strong commitment to helping the community and ensuring equal access to justice. Amenities Competitive salary ranging from $54,000–$65,000 per year, depending on experience.
