Job Summary and Mission: This position contributes to the success of Earthbar by providing an exceptional customer service experience to all customers. You are the go‑to shift leader in the absence of the Assistant General Manager and General Manager, representing the Earthbar brand with excellence. Summary of Key Responsibilities Acting manager of the store in the absence of Assistant General Manager and General Manager; leading and managing shifts. Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Earthbar. Maintain a calm demeanor, especially during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to Earthbar standard. Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customer's cues. Deliver exceptional customer service to all customers; respond to customer needs in a timely manner. Follow Earthbar operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all members during each shift. Maintain a clean and organized workspace so that other team members can locate products easily. Provide quality beverages consistently by adhering to all recipes. Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Service Excellence Demonstrate World Class Hospitality: GREAT Customer Service (G = greet guests, R = respect them/team, E = explain the menu/company, A = add‑ons/app, T = thank). Ensure speed of service by providing guests an incredible experience in an accurate and timely manner from when they place order (5‑8 mins). Obtain and demonstrate retail supplement education and product knowledge. Up‑share product (recommending boosts and items that complement). Demonstrate and communicate our company core values. Answer phones with proper and professional etiquette (expectation before 2 rings). Adaptability (team dynamic and customer facing). Sample in‑store daily and off‑site at events when specified and agreed upon. Review communication board for daily education, insights, and company goals. Operational Excellence Complete daily opening and closing checklist and tasks. Prepare food and beverages (such as smoothies, juices, acai bowls, toast, lattes) to build guide recipe and standards. Ensure correct measurements when following all food and drink recipe preparations. Complete tasks in a timely manner as designated by management. Stock incoming orders and merchandise product accordingly. Fill out waste log and other tracking documents. Wash blenders and kitchen utensils. Take timely duty‑free meal period(s) and/or rest break(s). Be proactive to communicate to management if product is running low. Comfortable with excessive noise from blenders, juicers, and other equipment. Fulfill 3rd party and online orders accurately and in a timely manner. Follow daily and weekly deep cleaning calendar in store. Contribute and provide feedback for closing manager reports each day. Proficiency in the use of technology and POS systems. Possess a Food Handlers Certification if required by local ordinance. Check expiration on made‑to‑order and retail product offerings, daily. Practice First In First Out (FIFO) product handling. Follow all safety and health guidelines. Conduct sampling events. Ability to quickly learn new procedures, processes, and product knowledge. 1‑2 years of experience in food/beverage environments making smoothies, and/or specialty beverages, or experience in retail and hospitality. Barista, Nutrition, and Culinary education experience a plus. Must have (or obtain) a California Food Handlers License (i.e., ServSafe) prior to employment. Shifts Part‑time/Full‑time Hours vary Monday‑Sunday, early morning to evening shifts. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, with or without reasonable accommodation.
