Qualifications Course work in accounting or bookkeeping preferred Efficient in the use of ten-key by touch Familiar and able to work with a computer and Excel Ability to work well with a variety of people Must be able to work rapidly and accurately to meet reporting deadlines Enthusiasm and attendance is important Ability to read, write and speak clearly Duties & Responsibilities: Job Summary The Accounts Payable Clerk must be a detail orientated employee that works in a fast-paced, high pressure environment. Ability to multi‑task, operate ten‑key by touch and Excel is required. Tasks include processing invoices for payment and extensive customer service. Duties Retrieve, open and date stamp daily mail Sort, match and code invoices in preparation for payment Ensure each invoice has appropriate documentation, approval and coding Key invoices into computer A/P system Select invoices for payment from cash requirement list Research problems raised by vendors.
