Restaurant General Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-end, fine dining environment
  • Proven success managing annual sales volumes of $10M and above
  • Expertise in wine and premium liquor
  • Outstanding guest service skills paired with strong financial acumen
  • Demonstrated leadership presence with the ability to inspire and motivate teams

Restaurant General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and inspire front- and back-of-house teams to deliver exceptional service
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring a flawless guest experience
  • Maintain high menu and beverage standards, including fine wine and premium spirits selection
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Cultivate a culture of professionalism, pride, and superior hospitality throughout the restaurant
