Work Environment This role operates within an onsite home care setting, where you will collaborate closely with a supportive team comprised of two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our work schedule allows for a healthy work-life balance, with hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. You will be providing care to patients primarily with private medical insurance, benefiting from a streamlined patient-focused approach. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patient needs and develop customized rehabilitation strategies to meet identified goals. Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring efficient and effective treatment. Employ evidence-based practices to apply various treatment methods aimed at restoring mobility and alleviating pain. Minimize reliance on medications by providing alternative interventions that may reduce the necessity for surgical procedures. Create individualized fitness and wellness programs, integrating a spectrum of treatment techniques that cater to each patient's unique situation. Document all patient interactions and treatment decisions comprehensively, ensuring all records meet organizational and regulatory standards. Motivate and encourage patients through their rehabilitation process, fostering a positive and supportive environment that maximizes their recovery. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care, coordinating treatment strategies as needed. Evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Lead patient education efforts to promote healthy lifestyles, focusing on improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Patient Population / Client Focus As part of our specialized orthopedic outpatient practice, you will be primarily working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Our diverse patient population ranges from athletes seeking to improve performance and functionality to older adults aiming to regain mobility and independence following surgery or injury. Qualifications A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required. Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California. A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against the license. Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and various therapeutic exercise protocols. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software platforms, particularly WebPT or similar systems. Preferred Experience Prior clinical experience in an orthopedic outpatient environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing individualized exercise regimens tailored to patient needs. Proficiency working within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care. Compensation and Benefits The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
