Drive Shaft Fabrication Location: Harford County, Maryland

My client is looking for a Machinist to build drive shafts as part of their production team. This role works hands-on with raw stock and machined components to produce finished shafts to spec, with close coordination across the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Operate lathes, mills, and related machine shop equipment to fabricate drive shaft components
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to machine parts to tolerance
• Balance and assemble finished drive shafts
• Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality
• Communicate with team members and supervisors on job status, material needs, and any issues that come up
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Qualifications

• Prior machine shop experience
• Ability to read blueprints and work from specs
• Strong communication skills, both with the team and with supervisors
• Attention to detail and comfort working to tight tolerances
• Drive shaft or driveline experience a plus, not required
