Quality Inspector II

JOB TITLE: Quality Inspector II PAY RANGE: $24 - $29/hour | SHIFT: 1st SEE WHAT WE DO: QUICK SUMMARY Prototek is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector II to support our manufacturing operations by performing in-process, final, and first article inspections on precision components. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, interpret complex drawings, and help drive quality standards throughout production. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Perform in-process and final inspections on manufactured parts Complete First Article Inspections (FAIs) and customer certification requirements Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gages, CMMs, and other inspection equipment Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements Verify compliance with customer specifications and quality standards Support AS9100, ISO9001, and quality system requirements Mentor and train less experienced inspectors Partner with production teams to resolve quality concerns REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or GED required 5+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment Manufacturing, machine shop, aerospace, medical device, sheet metal, or additive manufacturing experience Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge Experience with CMMs and precision measurement equipment Knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, or ISO13485 quality systems Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects WHAT PROTOTEK OFFERS: Health, dental, vision, life and short-term disability insurance Company paid life and long-term disability insurance 9 paid Holidays annually Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401(k) match: 100% of 3% and 50% for 4% and 5% Education reimbursement program Career advancement opportunities Flexible Schedule Competitive pay scale Paid time off (PTO) starting at 80 hours with annual increase for each year of service WORK AUTHORIZATION WORDING Must meet ITAR U.S. Person requirements – Prototek maintains International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliant operations in United States based facilities.
