Corporate Energy Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a junior associate to join its Corporate practice in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience advising sponsors, developers, investors, and financial institutions on complex energy, infrastructure, and corporate transactions. Experience with renewable energy, energy transition, tax credit transactions, and cross-border matters is preferred. Duties Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support transaction preparation and strategy. Draft well-written legal documents, including memos, contracts, and correspondence. Assist in managing complex transactions from inception to resolution. Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing support and addressing concerns promptly. Collaborate with other lawyers and business professionals to develop innovative transaction strategies. Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities. Engage in firm programs, civic and professional organizations, and pro bono work. Requirements 1-3 years of corporate, energy, or infrastructure transactional experience. Familiarity with tax equity financings and complex investment arrangements is a plus. Experience with M&A, project development, project finance, and joint venture transactions. Education JD degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admitted to practice in the state of California. Skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and good business judgment. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Persuasive communication and management skills.
