Accountant

Our client, a growing and innovative manufacturing organization just west of Wausau, WI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where you will support essential accounting functions and contribute to the company's continued growth and success. This is a full-time, direct hire position that is initially fully onsite. Once initial training period is completed in 6-12 months a hybrid work schedule with up to 3 days remote is offered. Primary Responsibilities Enter and maintain purchase orders Process payroll for 130+ employees using ADP Provide support and backup coverage for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions Maintain lease records and ensure accuracy of related documentation Prepare and post journal entries with proper supporting documentation Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities Identify and implement process improvements within accounting operations Support special accounting and finance projects as needed Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems Strong proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities Effective communication and problem-solving skills Experience processing payroll a plus If you are looking for a hands-on accounting role where you can make an impact while expanding your skills, we encourage you to apply.
