UM Administration Coordinator

Humana Healthy Horizons in Kentucky is seeking a UM Administration Coordinator who will contribute to the administration of utilization management. Reporting to the UM Behavioral Manager, you will perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments as well as perform computations and work on semi-routine assignments.

UM Adm Coord Responsibilities:

o Provides non-clinical support for the policies and procedures ensuring best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members.

o Decisions are typically focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.

o Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing

o Works under minimal direction

o Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

Required Qualifications

o 1 or more years administrative, customer service or technical support experience

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills

o Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Windows-based environment and an ability to quickly learn new systems

o Can attend 4-week training process with no absences

Preferred Qualifications

o Proficient utilizing electronic medical record and documentation programs

o Proficient and/or experience with medical terminology and/or ICD-10 codes

o Bachelor's Degree

o Prior member service or customer service telephone experience

o Experience with Utilization Review and/or Prior Authorization, preferably within a managed care organization

Additional Information

Workstyle: Remote Nationwide

Work Hours: 8 - 4:30 EST with occasional weekends as business needs dictate

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$40,000 - $52,300 per year
