The position is within the Simi Valley area and involves providing vital classroom assistance as part of a building sub pool, giving you flexibility and valuable hands-on experience.

In this role, you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful daily impact and gain exposure to various classroom settings, all while enjoying the flexibility to pick up substitute shifts according to your schedule.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A minimum of one year of experience working in SPED classroom environments
• Willingness to accept substitute assignments as needs arise
• Flexibility in caseload preference to provide support where needed most
• Ability to reliably commute to the Simi Valley area
• Passionate about supporting student success and collaborating with teaching staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional, behavioral, and classroom support to students with special needs
• Assist lead teachers in daily classroom activities and implementation of individualized education plans
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Supervise students during class, transitions, and activities
• Adapt to different classroom dynamics and contribute to student learning outcomes

This contract role offers the convenience of a sub pool, with opportunities to pick up shifts at a competitive rate of $29 per hour, and the potential to secure a full-time position for the next school year.
