Clinical Analyst

Day Shift – 7.5 Hours (United States of America) Responsibilities Carry out responsibilities in accordance with Richmond University Medical Center’s policies and standards. Maintain overall EMR support and work closely with RUMC’s IT team and vendors to ensure maximum uptime and quality support. Identify and create resolutions to issues either reported or identified independently. Independently review, analyze and modify configuration/programming to support hospital EMR system after the change management control form has been approved by the manager. Oversee electronic medical record systems and related software applications for Richmond Health Network. Create and maintain appropriate EMR documentation including templates, flow sheets, and care plans to support quality reporting and practice workflows. Evaluate user requests for services and recommend solutions to address their business needs; document, track and follow up on all enhancement requests and system change requests for the supported modules. Investigate, isolate and diagnose basic application problems, coordinating with other IT staff as necessary. Oversee practices’ transition to new EMR systems; plan and schedule new installations; upgrade hardware and software components to clinical systems in coordination with technical operations staff. Investigate and provide education to practices on EMR optimization, new features and services. Provide technical support for standalone EMRs and/or networked systems and troubleshoot system problems. Train end users to operate new or modified programs; develop end‑user training material as needed. Construct and generate all reports to comply with regulatory mandates. Prepare reports, attend meetings and document project status as requested. Experience Strong understanding of Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Office suite. Experience preferred (knowledge required). Education Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a health related field required.
