Overnight Coverage Lead

As an Overnight Coverage Lead at H-E-B, you'll support store leadership by providing primary overnight coverage and monitoring partners, departments, and total-store safety and sanitation standards. Key responsibilities include store lead operations, customer service, compliance, sanitation, and safety. You'll oversee store conditions, direct work, address complaints, resolve issues, follow up on production plans, and execute supporting processes. You may also oversee cleaning and sanitizing of sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment in lieu of respective team leads. Manage facility and equipment maintenance, ensure timely response to refrigeration issues, execute emergency management procedures, and confirm compliance with sanitation SOPs/guidelines. You'll also comply with SOPs related to security, receiving/wareroom, and safety, and oversee compliance with federal, state, and H-E-B regulations for product freshness, food safety, refrigeration, sanitation.

Qualifications and key requirements include an age requirement of 18+, 6+ months of related experience, knowledge of department production stations, problem-solving and decision-making skills, interpersonal skills, ability to read and interpret documents, ability to write routine reports and correspondence, ability to communicate effectively with customers and groups of partners, ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, and ability to support large groups of partners. Education, licenses, and certifications include completion of forklift/power jack training upon hire.

Physical demands and working conditions include constantly walking, reaching at waist, grasping, occasionally standing, reaching overhead, reaching at shoulder, reaching at knee, reaching at floor, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, pivoting, twisting, pushing/pulling with arms, pinching, performing fine motor movements, occasionally being exposed to cold/hot, ambient temperatures, loud noise, and wet conditions, and demonstrating the ability to lift 85 lbs and manage in excess of 85 lbs.
