Exciting Opportunity for a General Surgeon

Our organization is seeking a full-time General Surgeon who is either Board Certified or Board Eligible to join a dynamic and expanding multispecialty group practice in Ontario, Oregon.

Join a physician-led team of over 600 providers dedicated to a collaborative approach in patient care. This community-focused general surgery practice offers a variety of surgical procedures, including both endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques, all while enjoying a relaxed rural lifestyle. The practice operates from a clinic conveniently located next to the hospital.

Our facility, a Level IV Trauma Center, features:

• 50 beds
• 4 operating rooms
• Endoscopy services
• State-of-the-art laparoscopic equipment
• Advanced imaging capabilities
• Award-winning clinical services

There are also outreach opportunities available to enhance community engagement.

Support for this role includes:

• 24/7 CRNA assistance for anesthesia
• A regional network of surgical subspecialties, including surgical oncology, colorectal surgery, upper GI surgery, orthopedics, ENT, and gynecology
• Local primary care and specialty clinics, as well as medical oncology services
• Hospital-based imaging services with a 24/7 radiology department
• In-house coverage for general radiology and CT
• After-hours call coverage for Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine (NM), MRI, Breast Care Center, and X-ray (DR image capture)
• Emergency department support

The work schedule consists of a traditional Monday to Friday week, requiring a minimum of 32 hours of patient interaction, which encompasses clinic visits, procedures, and consultations. The call schedule averages ten days per month, including at least one weekend at our facility. Additional incentives are available for extra call duties.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA general surgery residency program
• Board certification through the American Board of Surgery (ABS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS), or the ability to obtain such certification within seven years of employment
• Oregon and Idaho medical licensure, along with privileges at our facility and other affiliated hospitals as necessary
• Valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA
• Interest in a comprehensive general surgery and endoscopy practice
