Senior Solutions Architect (RapidScale)

Senior Solutions Architect at RapidScale will serve as a strategic advisor, connecting complex multi‑cloud technologies with evolving business needs of clients. You will lead discovery engagements, develop business‑aligned solution strategies, and design hybrid and multi‑cloud architectures to deliver measurable outcomes. Responsibilities Lead technical discovery engagements to uncover business goals, pain points, and drivers. Translate requirements into tailored, outcome‑focused cloud and infrastructure solutions. Run workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and stakeholder interviews. Architect hybrid and multi‑cloud environments, aligning with performance, availability, security, and compliance needs. Represent hosted cloud and other core offerings at a technical level, fully scoping, architecting, and presenting solutions comprising these services. Identify scenarios that require public cloud solutions, engage public cloud specialists, and present integrated solutions. Collaborate with sales, product, and specialist teams to align solutions with account strategy. Participate in RFPs, solution reviews, and scope definitions. Design security architectures including MDR, SOCaaS, IAM, SIEM/SOAR, and vulnerability management. Ensure solutions align with compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, ISO, NIST). Design secure, high‑performance networks integrating SD‑WAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, and firewalls across on‑prem and cloud environments. Stay current on emerging technologies (cloud, AI/ML, automation, cybersecurity) and translate innovation into business strategy. Educate clients and internal teams on current and future‑state capabilities. Qualifications Minimum BA/BS with 6+ years of experience, MS with 4+ years, PhD with 1 year, or 10 years overall without a degree. Professional level public cloud certification (AWS, Azure, GCP). Demonstrated experience working in the context of a sales team. Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. Preferred Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. Deep knowledge of private cloud and data center architectures (VMware, Citrix, storage, networking). High‑level knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP, their differences from traditional IT, and why businesses use them. Experience with managed security services and designing secure, compliant architectures. Strong understanding of hybrid connectivity, SD‑WAN, VPN, DNS, and firewalls. Design experience with SAN/NAS, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and modern deployment practices. Compensation Base salary: $155,200.00 – $232,800.00. Salary may vary by location and experience. Eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $52,800.00.
