Cyber Security Analyst

The Cyber Security Analyst Reporting to the Director of Technical Services, the Cyber Security Analyst provides support for cyber security related issues and systems. The position will establish new cyber security protocols and policies. The position will also support and maintain existing security software. The mission of the Cyber Security Analyst is to ensure the security and integrity of EU’s information and systems. Responsibilities Identifying privacy and security concerns. Providing technical support for security MDR/EDR suites. Leading the development and execution of security programs and procedures. Ensuring compliance with all security policies and procedures. Participating in threat hunting and threat detection. Participating in fraud detection and mitigation Analyzing malicious behavior. Developing and communicating technical security reports. Advising management of security risks. Specific Experience Monitoring and implementing antivirus/security software. Creating security policies and procedures. Assessing existing systems for security issues and risks. Creating incident reports as necessary. Assessing any security breaches and identifying vulnerabilities. Status Staff, full-time, salaried, exempt, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of demonstrated experience in enterprise cyber security work is required. Blue Team Level 1 certification is also required. Experience in higher education is strongly preferred. This individual is dedicated and committed with strong analytical skills. An individual who has a clear understanding of the critical role cybersecurity plays. The ability to balance a complex set of priorities and issues is critical. Prior technical work experience supporting risk management, security services, and oversight of enterprise MDR/EDR is strongly preferred.
