Your Role & Impact The Charge Review Associate II performs intermediate-level review, validation, and correction of patient charges; posts and reconciles patient and insurance payments; resolves account discrepancies including refund and recoupment processing. This position interacts with payers, internal departments, and patients to ensure accuracy, compliance, and excellent customer service across the billing and revenue cycle process.

A Charge Review Associate covers everything from initial code assignment, claim generation, payment posting, resolving claim denials to collecting final patient payments. Review medical charges and system work queues before an insurance claim is officially sent out. Catching missing information, checking for unlinked diagnoses and adding or fixing CPT/ICD codes to resolve payer specific software edits and make sure the claim is clean and compliant. 

Requirements:

•High school diploma or equivalent.
•A minimum of three (3) years of experience in medical billing, charge review, and payment posting in a healthcare setting.
•Knowledge of the revenue cycle, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT)/Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) codes and payer billing guidelines.
•Familiarity with managed care plans.
•Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and electronic health record (EHR)/practice management systems.
•Knowledge of medical terminology.
*Community Clinic experience highly desired.

The pay range for this role is $25.30 - $35.42 on an hourly basis.
