Optometrist (OD) – Full-Time or Part-Time

About the Practice
For over 30 years, our established OD/MD/Optician practice has served the Philadelphia and Camden communities. We pride ourselves on providing full-scope medical eye care within a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Our practice is defined by its clinical diversity and a commitment to utilizing the latest diagnostic technology to serve a vibrant, multicultural patient base.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated, clinically proficient Optometrist to join our team in either a full-time or part-time capacity. You will work alongside experienced Ophthalmologists and Opticians to provide comprehensive care ranging from routine vision exams to advanced medical management of ocular diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vision and medical eye examinations.
- Diagnose and manage ocular diseases, with a heavy emphasis on Glaucoma treatment and management .
- Utilize advanced diagnostic imaging to monitor and treat various retinal and corneal conditions.
- Collaborate with our MDs for surgical co-management and specialized referrals.
- Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population.
Clinical Technology & Support
We believe in giving our doctors the best tools to succeed. Our offices are equipped with a "nice set-up" featuring:
- Topcon CV Automatic Refracting System
- Diagnostic Suite: OCT, Fundus Camera, and Visual Field (VF)
- Advanced Imaging: UBM, B-scan, and A-scan
- Professional Support: Doctors are fully assisted by a team of well-trained technicians to streamline patient flow and work-ups.
Candidate Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program.
- Active Optometry license in the state of Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey .
- Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in Spanish is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient demographic.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-specialty setting.
- Strong diagnostic skills and an interest in medical optometry.
