Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience License: Active nursing license required Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience - Experience in care of the laboring patient - Care of the newborn immediately after delivery - Circulating and recovering cesarean section patients Description: The unit has a total of 12 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2. Staffing includes registered nurses, unit secretaries, and OR techs. The unit utilizes a documentation system for efficiency. Staff is required to complete three weekend shifts and one call shift per month. Registered nurses must be willing to float to other areas as needed. Shared decision-making is a priority for patient care. Registered nurses are expected to have skills in managing vaginal deliveries, cesareans, D&C procedures, cerclage, and the administration of epidural anesthesia. Dress code requires scrubs in Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray. The facility is committed to providing patients with state-of-the-art care.
