Gekon Inc. , a New York City-based General Contractor, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team.

Position: Construction Superintendent
Location: New York City
Employment Type: Full-Time

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Construction Superintendent in the construction industry
• Valid NYC DOB Construction Superintendent Registration/License — REQUIRED
• Strong knowledge of NYC DOB regulations, NYC Building Code, Chapter 33, and jobsite safety requirements
• Valid SST Supervisor Card
• Valid OSHA certification
• Strong experience managing active construction sites from mobilization through completion
• Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, logistics, and coordination
• Proven experience coordinating and supervising subcontractors and field personnel
• Ability to conduct daily site supervision, safety meetings, and progress tracking
• Experience with DOB inspections and site compliance
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain daily logs, site documentation, manpower records, and progress reports
• Must be organized, responsible, proactive, and capable of independently managing day-to-day field operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise daily construction operations on site
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, deliveries, inspections, and work sequencing
• Ensure work is performed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule
• Maintain full compliance with NYC DOB and site safety requirements
• Monitor quality control and construction progress
• Identify and resolve field conflicts before they impact the schedule
• Conduct daily coordination with Project Managers and office staff
• Maintain accurate daily reports and site documentation
• Ensure a safe, organized, and productive jobsite
