Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions. This role will be responsible for managing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), cash application, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities. The Accountant will also assist with financial reporting, resolve discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and support other accounting functions and special projects as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, deadline-driven, and committed to maintaining strong financial controls and data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and timely.
• Process and apply customer payments, research unapplied cash, and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, and other routine accounting adjustments.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances or discrepancies.
• Support the month-end close process, ensuring all accounting activities are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections and account resolution as needed.
• Review invoices, payments, and other financial transactions for accuracy and proper coding.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with audit requests and provide documentation and analysis as needed.
• Identify process improvements and help strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Collaborate with internal departments, customers, and vendors to resolve accounting-related questions and issues.
• Assist with other accounting functions, financial analyses, and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

· U.S. Citizenship is required

· 2-5 years of experience in accounting, experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA a plus)

· Familiarity with Manufacturing ERP Systems (Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, Infor, Syteline, etc.)

· Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, report design and analytical tools

· Demonstration of a positive attitude that impacts the existing company culture

· Ability and eagerness to learn new skills and adjust to increased workloads displaying a helpful work ethic

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with production teams to understand cost drivers and improve financial performance

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to validate information to drive data driven decision making

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

· Strong understanding of general accounting principles

· Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close

· Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

· Familiarity with inventory, cost accounting, and financial analysis
