Job Details Specialty: PCU Float / Resource RN Employment Type: Travel Nursing Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts Schedule: Primarily 3 x 12-hour shifts; must be open to a 36/48-hour alternating schedule, with weekend coverage as needed Orientation: 36 hours Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,820-$1,910 Openings: 2 Setting: Adult and geriatric acute care with PCU and Med Surg overflow Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Active RN license in hand before start date Required certifications: ACLS , BLS , and NIHSS Epic charting experience strongly preferred Experience with PCU , telemetry , and Med Surg patient populations preferred Must be comfortable floating between Med Surg and PCU units Ability to care for adults and geriatrics with varying acuity levels Willingness to work weekends as needed throughout the contract RTO must be submitted with application Responsibilities Provide high-quality bedside care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit and Med Surg settings Monitor telemetry and manage patients with complex medical needs and overflow acuity Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately Support patients requiring oxygen therapy, IV management, cardiac monitoring, and related interventions Respond to changes in patient condition and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members Document care accurately in Epic and maintain strong communication with the care team Float as needed to support staffing needs across Med Surg and PCU units Promote a safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care environment Apply now for this Wichita Falls, Texas travel nursing opportunity and join a healthcare team that values clinical expertise, flexibility, and patient-centered care.
