RN, Staff Nurse

Staff RN – Naperville – Pediatrics Full‑time position (32 hours per week). Working hours: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–7:00pm, Friday 8:00am–4:00pm, Saturday 8:00am–12:00pm. Responsibilities Under general supervision, provide high‑quality support to physicians in meeting patient medical needs. Escort patients to and from exam rooms, prepare them for physicians, take vital signs, record medical history/symptoms, and ensure medical chart/lab test results are available and complete. Perform telephone triage, patient education, handle physician phone calls, and process pharmacy calls. May assist by setting up appointments or arranging hospital tests or admissions. Administer immunizations and minor treatments as prescribed; record and document all such activities in the chart. Assist physicians with procedures as necessary. Clean and stock patient examination rooms, prepare instruments for procedures, and maintain a list of needed medical supplies. Complete paperwork such as ordering lab tests, x‑rays, school/work notes, and other required documentation. Clean and sterilize equipment and check/restock medication cabinets as necessary. Respond to patient questions and concerns as liaison between physician and patient. Report all test results to patients as directed by the physician. Perform OSHA controls and assist in narcotic counts. Perform other projects and duties related to department objectives. Maintain positive teamwork, accept constructive criticism, and follow work rules. Use current nursing practices to provide patient care, focusing on patient needs and exemplifying service excellence, respect, and cooperation. Act as patient advocate by being the initial contact for patient‑related issues. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Current Illinois RN licensure. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current CPR certification. Minimum one year of professional nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting (new graduates may be considered under specific circumstances). Compensation and Incentives Base pay range: $27.00‑$38.50 per hour; actual pay determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
