Accounting Intern

Old Town is seeking an Accounting Intern to join our team in Carmel, IN, where the opportunity to gain hands-on accounting experience and learn about various aspects of the accounting function at Old Town will be afforded. FUNCTION The Accounting Intern will provide support to the accounting team on various accounting projects and tasks. MISSION The Accounting Intern will maintain the integrity of Old Town in all aspects. All responsibilities performed require a willingness to learn about Old Town residential and commercial properties, mission, and values. Candidate will possess an entrepreneurial work ethic and be able to work collaboratively with other Old Town team members. RESPONSIBILITIES Record monthly accruals Complete monthly bank reconciliations for all entities Complete monthly intercompany reconciliations Complete monthly debt reconciliations Complete monthly WIP to asset reclassifications Record journal entries for Fields Market Garden (non-profit entity) Compile and organize data pertaining to vendors for 1099-purposes Other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE In the process of completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting Actively or will be actively pursuing CPA license Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to pay close attention to detail Self-starter who can work well both as part of a team and independently Willingness to contribute when and where needed, to work with other team members to ensure all functions are completed in an efficient and timely manner REPORTING The Accounting Intern will report to the Controller. #J-18808-Ljbffr
