IOP Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Houma, LA. Work Schedule : Tuesday - Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm with a 1‑hour lunch and Saturdays 8:00am – 12:00pm. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other screening purposes. Enter patient data accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program. Three (3) months or more of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications One (1) year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable with minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
