Senior Business Support Analyst – Clean Energy Job ID: 6444 Location: Bellevue, WA 98004; Snoqualmie, WA 98065 Remote and Hybrid Work Opportunities: Hybrid (WA Based) Job Description Puget Sound Energy’s New Product Development team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Senior Business Support Analyst – Clean Energy position. This role plays a pivotal part in advancing our Products & Services, including Transportation Electrification, Renewable Energy, and Battery Storage programs. The analyst transforms complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision‑making and directly supports PSE’s mission of being our customers’ clean energy partner of choice. The Senior Business Support Analyst is responsible for evaluating, quantifying, and qualifying business needs and requirements. The role includes technical support—troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancements—and consulting for a variety of database systems used throughout the department. The analyst upholds safety compliance, promotes a culture of safety, conducts business honestly and ethically, and ensures duties comply with all regulatory obligations. Job Responsibilities Uses advanced analytics and statistical methods to study and analyze available data to determine trends, root causes, metrics, leading and lagging indicators. Analyze, trend, forecast, and track business unit/program performance and data statistics. Maintain, enhance, and develop querying techniques to derive reports and data accurately. Develop metrics and ongoing analysis. Assess current practices and develop new modeling approaches, tools, and processes. Communicate analytical methods, assumptions, and results with key stakeholders to support data‑driven decisions in line with business goals. Lead project teams on related projects and initiatives, including business case documentation. Develop and apply process improvement methodologies to business processes and procedures. Maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, and train for internal and external stakeholders; coordinate system implementations and testing as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree in business, economics, finance, or related field, and 5 years of quantitative/qualitative analysis; or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Experience working with relational database systems (querying, analysis, reporting). Strong written, interpersonal, and group communication skills. Experience with business applications and analysis tools such as Access, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, statistical software, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP modules, and Cognos. Excellent problem‑solving skills. Ability to understand and explain technical concepts. Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills. Strong time‑management and organizational skills. Experience providing guidance and direction to lower staff. Ability to take initiative and work independently and as part of a team. Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience leading teams. 7 years utility‑related experience. Related business‑specific experience may include: Advanced relational database experience (MS Access, SQL, Oracle). Advanced statistical analyses (predictive analytics, regression forecasting, data visualization). Experience with CSEE Systems (CSY, CIS, CMS). Experience with Crystal Reports and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Programming languages (Visual Basic, SQL, VB.NET, HTML). Knowledge of rate‑making process. Familiarity with SAP, BI, PACE. Process documentation and improvement experience.
