TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, 66215!

Job Title: Emergency Department RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 11:00 - 23:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Emergency/Trauma nursing License: Current RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Experience in a Level 2 trauma center Description: 48 hours guaranteed is an option. Number of beds: 24. Patient ratios: 1:4. Unit staffing includes an available unit secretary for 21 hours/day with 5 RN core staff from 10:00 to 22:00. Equipped with Level 1 fluid warmers, GE monitor systems, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps. Documentation is completed using Meditech. Scheduling requirements include working every third weekend with a mid-shift schedule. Shifts may start as early as 10:00 and conclude as late as 01:30. Floating policy is rare, only occurring if other staff have been flexed home. Patient experience focuses on the use of AIDET and whiteboards with a positive attitude culture. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, and NIH. Advanced skills needed involve knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis, and triage. Procedures performed are associated with a Level 2 trauma center. Required uniform consists of a cobalt blue top and solid black or cobalt blue pants. Closed toe shoes are mandatory.
