JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for overseeing the daily operation of RIP classrooms, ensuring a safe, organized, engaging, and supportive environment for children, parents, volunteers, and program staff. This position provides classroom supervision, supports program activities, develops instructional materials, and assists with staff, parent, and volunteer training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Classroom Preparation

• Develops and maintains weekly classroom lesson plans and engaging activity centers appropriate for participating children.
  
• Creates, organizes, and maintains children's puzzle task boxes and other classroom learning materials.
  
• Provides training and guidance to parents and other adults responsible for providing classroom coverage.
  
• Ensures classrooms are prepared, organized, and adequately supplied for scheduled activities.
  

Classroom Operations

• Provides direct supervision and oversight of classroom activities.
  
• Maintains a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment.
  
• Organizes and participates in regular large-group meetings and activities for parents.
  
• Supports effective communication and coordination among parents, volunteers, and program staff.
  

Program Activities and Support

• Participates in program development, implementation, and evaluation activities.
  
• Serves as an active and collaborative member of the program staff team.
  
• Recruits, trains, coordinates, and supervises volunteers as needed.
  
• Assists with program tours and provides information regarding classroom operations and program activities.
  
• Participates in special RIP presentations, events, and activities as appropriate.
  
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED required.
  
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  
• Graduates of the RIP program preferred.
  

Years of Experience
Experience working with young children and their families is preferred.

$15.00--$21.00
