The Delivery Operations Associate provides flexible operational support across the Company's delivery operations. This role assists Route Drivers, Combo Drivers, Short Drivers, Dispatch, and Packing to help ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and accurately. By adapting to changing business needs and supporting multiple operational functions, this position plays an important role in maintaining the high level of service our customers expect.

The following duties are considered essential functions of this position. Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs.

What You Will Do

• Assist Route Drivers, Combo Drivers, and Short Drivers with daily delivery operations.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles while maintaining product quality and delivery accuracy.
• Assist with customer deliveries by safely transporting products to customer locations.
• Organize product within delivery vehicles to improve delivery efficiency.
• Verify product accuracy before deliveries leave the facility.
• Assist drivers with collecting reusable totes, pallets, boxes, and other company property.
• Communicate effectively with Dispatch regarding delivery issues, delays, route changes, or customer concerns.
• Assist Dispatch with preparing routes and supporting daily delivery operations.
• Support Packing operations when delivery assistance is not needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Follow all company food safety, sanitation, workplace safety policies, and company operating procedures.
• Safely use a hand truck and proper manual material handling techniques while loading, unloading, and delivering products.
• Assist with operational support assignments as directed.
• When properly licensed, authorized, and assigned, independently perform Route Driver, Combo Driver, or Short Driver deliveries based on business needs.
• Assist with vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain professionalism and provide exceptional customer service during every customer interaction.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Report accidents, injuries, product damage, equipment concerns, or unsafe working conditions immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position primarily supports daily delivery operations by assisting Route Drivers, Combo Drivers, Short Drivers, Dispatch, and Packing based on operational needs. A valid California Driver's License is preferred but not required. Associates who possess an acceptable driving record and are authorized by the Company may be assigned to independently operate company delivery vehicles and perform Route Driver, Combo Driver, or Short Driver responsibilities as business needs require.

Equipment used in this position may include company delivery vehicles (when authorized), hand trucks, mobile communication devices, and other tools necessary to perform assigned job duties.

Assignments, responsibilities, and work locations may change throughout the day based on operational priorities.

Responsibilities may vary daily based on operational needs. Early morning start times are common. You may transition between supporting deliveries, Dispatch, Packing, and other operational functions throughout the day. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment is expected at all times. Schedule flexibility, including weekends, overtime, and extended shifts during busy periods, may be required.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to frequently lift and carry products weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely push and pull loaded hand trucks weighing more than 50 pounds. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Previous delivery, customer service, produce, grocery, distribution, or logistics experience. Previous experience making customer deliveries and safely using a hand truck is preferred.
