Registered Nurse RN Emergency Room

Overview We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join Research Medical Center’s Emergency Room. As part of HCA Healthcare, you will be part of a team that values nurses’ voices and focuses on patient‑centered care. Responsibilities Coordinate and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with department requirements and state/specialty practice standards. Collaborate with medical providers and care team members to provide individualized, comprehensive care using the nursing models of Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, modeling the organization’s vision, mission, and values. Assess patients’ pain regularly and promote effective pain management, including reassessments after interventions. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers. Document the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly. Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving them proactively. Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, status, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures. Translate complex medical terminology into plain, understandable language. Educate patients and families about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes. Prepare patients and families for future self‑management. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with a Registered Nurse Diploma. Completion of Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse, Trauma Nursing Core Course, or TNCC Instructor within one year of employment start date. Completion of Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Pediatric Advanced Life Support within one year of employment start date. Completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS Instructor within 30 days of employment start date. Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support or BCLS Instructor within 30 days of employment start date.
