Patient Service Specialist

Description Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications Prepare patient intake forms prior to appointments to ensure timely service Verify insurance eligibility of patients to determine if services are covered, and obtain authorizations as needed. Provide counseling to patients advising them of their financial responsibility at time of service Achieve quality assurance goals Adhere to the established system of controls to secure and reconcile payments receive. Effectively communicate with all contacts as necessary to solve problems Maintain a clean and safe environment Skills customer service oriented Additional Skills & Qualifications Additional Skills & Qualifications Patient-centered mindset: Strong customer service skills Proven ability to work with and navigate a computer desktop efficiently (microsoft office) Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wells, ME. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
