Studio Director

Studio Director

Haldon House is an interior design and development firm based in Gladwyne, PA, working across high-end residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. We lead the master planning, own the creative direction, and deliver interior design in-house through one studio - with the same team, systems, and standards behind every project. Our work includes reimagining a collection of properties within Gladwyne Village under one vision - from restaurants and retail to public greens - with the rare opportunity to shape the character of the village for years to come. We're hiring a Studio Director at a defining moment for the firm. A few years in, we've reached an inflection point most firms spend a decade chasing - exceptional clients, an extraordinary pipeline, and opportunities that will shape Haldon House's next chapter. Working closely with the Founder & Creative Director, the Studio Director will lead the design studio, providing the design leadership, operational rigor, and judgment that keep exceptional work moving. The Creative Director sets the overall creative vision; the Studio Director carries that vision through the studio - guiding design leads, resolving day-to-day design decisions, developing the team, and maintaining an uncompromising standard of quality. The Studio Director will run internal design reviews, bring seasoned perspective to project challenges, and coach design leads to become stronger designers, decision-makers, and managers. They'll also oversee the schedules and studio rhythms that keep projects moving, work with the Founders on staffing and capacity, and help build a culture of high standards, low ego, and real mentorship. The Studio Director will inherit a strong foundation with meaningful latitude to shape how the studio evolves. It's a rare opportunity to help build the practice behind an unusually ambitious body of work - early enough to shape its future, with the momentum and platform already in place.
