Job Summary: The Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams in membership, community engagement, and girl programming to maximize participation and enhance program impact. This role involves fostering community partnerships, developing timelines and tactics, and executing project management plans. Additionally, the Manager will oversee documentation and process development, campaign and resource execution, inventory management, delivery coordination, and reward activations. Ensuring accessibility and inclusion within all programs, the Manager will work an alternate schedule during peak seasons to meet department initiatives and member needs. Essential Functions: People Leader: Manage high performing team, collaborating to set individual goals, metrics and expectations. Responsible for hiring, training and performance management for all positions on the team, ensuring staff is set up for success, held accountable to expectations and building team culture that aligns with the organization. Cohesive Program Delivery: Informed by the department strategy developed by the Vice President of Product Programs, manage the cross-functional development of plans to engage members, support participation and drive sales through thoughtfully created guides, email campaigns, volunteer updates, support initiatives, booth sale partners, training, reward procurement and distribution, programming, marketing, etc. Goal Setting & Tracking: In collaboration with the supervisor, set department and individual goals for sales, participation, per girl average, tracking performance, outcomes and metrics to inform levers, initiatives. Optimization: Review and enhance processes, ensuring core processes are documented and updated to ensure efficiency with a lens of creating and maintaining a meaningful and rewarding volunteer and member experience. Customer Service Experience: Manage department customer service touchpoints, ensuring a highly responsive team that supports both internal and external stakeholders with timely and accurate information. This includes, but is not limited to case queues, email inboxes, phone calls and voicemails, support requests via forms and systems, etc. Manage Department Projects and Priorities: Responsible for developing project timelines, tasks, and team assignments to ensure the execution of strategic department and organizational priorities. Delivery Agents & Inventory: Serve as the primary point of contact for day to day operations for all GSNETX delivery agents who hold Product Program inventory, ensuring that agents have and adhere to processes, guidelines and customer service expectations while managing accurate inventory across the council. Reward & Experience Activations: Support the development of relevant rewards and incentives that maximize sales of the Product Programs. This includes managing vendor relationships, procurement, planning and the maintenance and enhancement of the Girl Scout feedback loop as well as ensuring the successful execution of reward events and travel experiences. Community Engagement, Relevance & Access: Through intentional community engagement initiatives and plans, strengthen relationships in community, adapting the Product Programs and programming where able and appropriate, to respond to the needs, desires and interests expressed within the communities we serve. This includes creating language inclusive processes, resources and plans to give all Girl Scouts and families the opportunity to participate in Product Programs. Manage Budgets: Complete at least monthly reconciliation of the department’s budget, ensuring that the department’s budget versus actual expenditures and income are properly recorded, within budget and that the department is using resources wisely. Volunteer Management : In collaboration with Membership teams, appoint Service Unit Product Program volunteers to serve in key roles in their communities to drive the troop and Girl Scout experience. Assess volunteer expectations, performance and address situations which require intervention promptly, in coordination with the supervisor and Volunteer Relations Manager, if necessary. Promote and recognize volunteer contributions and foster positive relationships built on trust and a shared passion for the mission. Inclusive Pathways: Develop and enhance processes and tasks that support the inclusion of all membership pathways in the Product Programs experiences. This includes Community Partnerships, New Troops with Mentors, New Leaders, Tenured/Traditional Troops, etc. Outcomes Driven: In collaboration with the Impact and Evaluations team, develop and optimize feedback opportunities through surveys and other means to ensure we are capturing real time, relevant feedback, interests and insights post events, program, experiences, etc., to make data driven decisions and continually enhance the member experience based on. Represent the Organization : Represent Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas in all interactions with Girl Scouts, parents/caregivers, volunteers, short term corporate volunteers, vendors, partners, donors, media, etc., to further the organization’s mission and visibility. Foster Collaboration, Teamwork and Culture: Build collaborative, productive relationships that are mission and vision focused supporting internal and external stakeholders to ensure positive interactions and teamwork across the council. Successful collaboration and execution on outcomes increases member retention and foster a positive and people centric culture furthering excellence and belonging. Preferred Skills: Project Management Critical Thinking/Problem Solving Team Management Good Written and Oral Communication Time Management Relationship Building Organization Process Development and Management MS Office (Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Data Management & Analysis Customer Service/Member Services Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Management, Marketing, or related human services field or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 3 years experience managing and supervising a team with sales or performance goals and significant project management or equivalent combination of education and practical work experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently within the framework of the council’s plan of work. Experience with a volunteer workforce is desired. Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment. Demonstrate and promote a climate of courtesy, respect and professionalism to coworkers, the volunteers served by this council, and others with whom this job puts them in contact. Must be able to travel within established geographic areas and council service centers, as necessary. If applicable, must have reliable transportation, hold a valid driver’s license and meet GSNETX driving record & automobile insurance requirements. Performs other duties, as assigned. Upon employment, employee must register as an adult member in the Girl Scout organization and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, before and after hours, and on weekends, which are often. Must complete and pass a criminal background check. Must be able to travel within established geographic areas and council service centers, as necessary. Must have reliable transportation, hold a valid drivers’ license and meet GSNETX driving record & automobile insurance requirements. Performs other duties, as assigned.
