AEO / AI Search Communications Strategy Manager

You’re a strategic communications operator with strong instincts for how brands show up across AI-powered search, traditional search, social platforms, and third-party ecosystems. You understand that discoverability is no longer just about media coverage or SEO. It’s about how content is structured, distributed, cited, surfaced, and reused across an increasingly fragmented information environment.

You bring experience in platform strategy, campaign planning, content distribution, and communications optimisation. You know how to connect editorial strategy with execution, and how to build plans that help the right stories show up in the right places, in the right formats, at the right time. You’re highly collaborative, analytically minded, and comfortable working across communications to improve visibility, consistency, and impact.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to, and help execute, our AEO and AI search communications strategies across priority platforms and channels.
• Build platform-specific strategies that improve discoverability, authority, and representation.
• Create campaign strategies that connect communications objectives with audience behavior, search trends, and content opportunities.
• Translate business priorities, announcements, and reputation needs into actionable AEO-informed communications plans.
• Define and socialize best practices for AI search optimization.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure campaigns are built with discoverability in mind from the start.
• Develop distribution plans that extend the reach and impact of key stories across owned, earned, shared, and partner channels.
• Identify opportunities to improve how content is surfaced, interpreted, and referenced in AI-generated responses and search summaries.
• Monitor platform changes, competitive activity, emerging tools, and search behavior shifts to recommend strategic adjustments.
• Use performance data and qualitative insights to optimize campaign strategy, platform prioritization, and content distribution approaches.
• Contribute to playbooks, frameworks, and planning processes that help scale AEO strategy across the communications function.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in communications strategy, content strategy, public relations, social strategy, or a related field.
• Experience developing cross-channel campaign strategies and distribution plans in a fast-paced brand, agency, media, or corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of Communications, AEO and the ways AI-powered search is changing brand visibility and content performance.
• Familiarity with platform dynamics across LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, news environments, and emerging discovery surfaces.
• Experience translating strategic priorities into actionable communications plans with clear channel, audience, and content recommendations.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to use data, trends, and performance signals to guide recommendations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and functions.
• Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams with speed and precision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on reputation, corporate communications, brand campaigns, or thought leadership programs.
• Familiarity with media intelligence, search insights, social listening, or content performance tools.
• Experience supporting global or regional communications programs.
• Background in travel, technology, consumer brands, or agency strategy work.
