Description

• Conduct evaluations in either inpatient or outpatient environments and create personalized treatment strategies
• Implement physical therapy interventions that target mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities
• Collaborate closely with an array of healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation experts to enhance patient outcomes
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic objectives, discharge preparations, and home workouts
• Carefully document assessments, treatments, and progress in alignment with facility protocols and regulatory mandates
• Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to assure integrated and cohesive patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Preferred CPR certification
• Specialty certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are seen as advantageous, yet not mandatory
