Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday

Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm

About the Role

We are seeking a professional and personable Medical Office Assistant to join a busy, patient-focused physician practice serving both pediatric and adult populations. This is a front-office role ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with patients, staying organized, and supporting a smooth, efficient office flow.

What You'll Do

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
• Answer incoming calls and assist patients with questions or requests
• Greet and check in patients, ensuring a positive first impression
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to visits
• Maintain accurate patient information and documentation in EMR systems
• Support front office operations and ensure efficient patient flow

What We're Looking For

• 1-2+ years of experience in a healthcare administrative/front desk role
• (medical receptionist, patient service rep, scheduling coordinator, etc.)
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience in a specialty physician practice required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems

Pediatrics experience is a plus

Required

CAAHEP-accredited Medical Assistant certification - MUST HAVE

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bel Air, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
