Health Communications Specialist
As a Health Communications Specialist, you will:
- Lead the development, implementation, management, and evaluation of major national or international communication programs, projects, and strategies for the lay and professional audiences, including innovative demonstration projects and presentations.
- Direct and guide development, testing, and timely dissemination of science- and audience-based products, tools, and messages to different audiences (i.e., general public, external organizations, partners, and media) in a variety of formats (i.e., print, video, Web).
- Manage the CDC website and CDC Office of Communications Web Team.
- Serve as a liaison between agency and other CIO communication staff on agency-wide digital communications issues, and networks with a variety of external stakeholders (e.g., health officials in federal, state, and local agencies, officials of other countries and international organizations, communication experts, and representatives of the general public).
