Locums Pontiac, Illinois Anesthesiologist Job
Locum tenens opportunity
Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible Anesthesiologist
Seeking a General Anesthesiologist for intermittent bench/PTO coverage
Current anesthesiologist works approximately 45 weeks per year, so coverage will primarily be needed during PTO
Assignments will typically be one-week blocks
No consistent locums schedule or set coverage dates
Potential need as early as December 2026; otherwise, coverage is expected to begin in 2027
Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:00 AM3:30 PM
Night call: 3:30 PM7:00 AM
General anesthesia
Cases include: General Surgery, GI, GYN
No cardiac or pediatric cases
Anesthesiologist supervises approximately 23 CRNAs who are running the rooms
Physician is responsible for pre-op and post-op patient management
Role consists primarily of CRNA supervision during the day
Physician will perform cases that come in after hours
May occasionally be asked to perform intubations or central lines for floor patients, though this is rare
EMR: Epic
Great opportunity for an anesthesiologist interested in occasional one-week locum blocks rather than a regular locums schedule
