We're searching for a detail-oriented Sample Management Technician to join our laboratory team in Midland, TX.

In this role, you'll handle the intake, documentation, and organization of environmental samples to support compliance and decision-making. From logging samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to overseeing storage and distribution, your work ensures accuracy, efficiency, and integrity across the lab.

What You'll Do

• Receive and document samples from clients, couriers, shipping, laboratory, and/or field staff
• Verify that all samples meet condition standards and comply with organizational policies, quality requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines
• Accurately record sample information, details, and required analyses in laboratory software system
• Label, organize, and distribute samples to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
• Maintain orderly and secure sample storage areas and oversee the proper placement, retrieval, and disposal of samples in accordance with established protocols
• Prepare sample kits and manage outbound shipments as required
• Provide assistance to colleagues and support related operational functions, including inventory management, supply preparation, and general support activities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in alignment with company standards and safety requirements
• Complete assigned tasks within established timelines while upholding accuracy, quality, and procedural standards
• Perform other duties as assigned, within the scope of the position and training provided

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field preferred
• Demonstrated experience in data entry, administrative, clerical, laboratory support, or documentation-focused roles involving accurate record keeping and information management
• Prior experience working in a laboratory, sample handling, or other regulated, high-volume processing environment preferred
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Work Schedule & Travel

• Full-time, onsite position following a standard Monday through Friday schedule
• Flexibility to work beyond standard hours, including evenings or weekends, as operational needs require
