Job Description

Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students near Indianapolis, IN, as a Special Education Teacher. Currently seeking experienced educators for roles focusing on Life Skills and Structured Teach (Autism Support) in school settings. Both positions provide the chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications:

Valid Moderate or Mild Intervention certification (as required by the specific role)
Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher in a K–12 environment
Background working with students with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or autism
Strong IEP writing and case management skills
Ability to cultivate supportive, inclusive classroom environments
Excellent communication, team collaboration, and problem-solving abilities

Position Details:

Life Skills Teacher: Moderate Intervention certification required; schedule: 7:20 a.m. – 3:10 p.m.
Structured Teach (Autism Support) Teacher: Mild Intervention certification required; schedule: 8:20 a.m. – 4:10 p.m.
Caseload: Approximately 10–15 students per assignment
Full collaboration with school staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
Employ evidence-based strategies for academic, social, and behavioral growth
Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in accordance with student IEPs
Communicate proactively with parents and educational teams
Track student progress and tailor interventions as needed
