Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Pay Range: $16.89 - $24.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Responsibilities Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.). Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late-afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on their individual training. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to ensure the selection of qualified team members. Make sure the telephone is answered according to company policy. Ensure all buy-online/ship-to-store, hub-to-store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately using correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise in the returns area correctly. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages, and delegate and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure team members comply with company policies, adhere to the posted work schedule, obtain approvals for schedule changes, and clock in/out accordingly. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures, verify/securing money deposits following company policy, prepare bank deposits as needed, ensure night security lights are on, lock doors, secure building, arm/disarm alarms, and lock delivery vehicle(s) parked in a secure area. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired). Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
