PartTime Family Assistant in Mooresville for an 8YearOld Boy

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Mooresville, NC, in finding a Part-Time Family Assistant for their 8-year-old son. The Family Assistant would be needed Wednesday 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm, and Thursday and Friday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm. During summer months, there will be an opportunity for additional hours.

The best Family Assistant would be energetic, kind, dependable, punctual, and highly organized. Strong work ethic, honesty, and reliability are essential, along with a genuine love for supporting children’s learning. The ideal candidate is proactive, trustworthy, and able to create a fun, structured, and supportive environment that promotes the child’s health, development, and happiness.

Responsibilities include school pickup, ensuring a snack is ready to take to pickup, and providing transportation to and from school and activities, including attending school events when parents are unable to attend. The Family Assistant should be comfortable assisting with homework and supporting the child’s daily routines and development. During school hours, the Family Assistant will support household management tasks listed below.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child

• Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the child

• Providing transportation to and from school and activities

Household Duties Include:

• Family’s laundry and changing sheets weekly

• Family meal prep, such as children’s snacks, cutting up fruits and vegetables for the week, and preparing simple meals including Hungryroot meals

• Unloading/loading dishwasher

• Wiping down kitchen counters

• Organizing the pantry, refrigerator, etc.

• Tidying common areas and child’s bedroom and bathroom

• Pack up holiday decor

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional Family Assistant experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Must be able to swim

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on childhood vaccinations and the annual Flu Vaccine

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts August 5th

• Legal pay is offered at $25 an hour, depending on experience
