Material Handler IILocation: Newark, DEOnsite Flexibility: OnsiteContract DetailsPosition Type: ContractContract Duration: 12 monthsPay Rate: $22.00–$26.00 / Hour (USD)Shift / Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM; overtime expected; weekend work expectedTravel Requirements: Not requiredWork Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Job SummaryThe Material Handler II is responsible for receiving and distribution of incoming goods, cycle counting of finished goods and/or component inventory, and may kit production parts.Key ResponsibilitiesMay perform work order kitting, KanBan replenishment, filling shortages and backorders for production.Unload trucks using forklift and pallet jack.Generates daily cycle count worksheets, back order and negative reports.Performs daily cycle count activities and reconcile variances.Receives materials from incoming to approved inventory. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments.Conduct safe operation of all vehicles and handling equipment, maintain in a safe operative condition, and store in a secure area of the warehouse.May maintain in-house stock levels for production, ensuring uninterrupted flow of raw materials to production.Other job duties as assigned by the manager, supervisor, or group leader.Required SkillsStrong organizational skillsStrong attention to detailMust occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 poundsWorking knowledge of MRP systemsStrong knowledge of both Oracle and Agile applicationsEnsure inventory accuracy through cycle count programMay ensure no production downtime based on material shortagesEnsure accuracy of PDS receiving log if requiredCommunication with distribution center and production supervisors to ensure daily flow of raw materials to meet production planMaintain available space in a neat, organized, and compliant mannerMaintain a neat and organized work areaComply with all company policies and procedures including safety regulations, Personal Protective Equipment requirements, Standard Operating Procedures, Quality System Regulations, and Good Manufacturing PracticesPreferred SkillsFamiliarity with Microsoft Office preferredMRP experience preferredEducation RequirementsHigh school degree or equivalentRequired Experience3 to 5 years of related experienceWork Environment / Physical RequirementsSit; use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Lifting/pushing/pulling and carrying products weighing up to 45 pounds.Potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and/or moderate noise levels.Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials.Safety shoes compliant with site-specific policies/procedures must be worn in designated areas.Potential exposure to blood.PPE required: Steel toe shoes.BenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the ClientThis client operates in the medical device manufacturing industry, developing diagnostic and treatment technologies with a focus on women's health, and serves customers across the U.S. from its Newark, DE facility.
