RN - PACU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM Experience: Minimum of 1 Year License: Valid State License required (Compact License) Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Charge Experience: Preferred Charting System Experience: Preferred Description:This position requires a registered nurse specializing in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.The assignment entails caring for a diverse patient population including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.The nurse will handle same-day surgeries and in-patient admissions, along with observation patients.Types of surgeries include vascular, general surgeries, orthopedic, pediatric, urology, gynecology, neuro/spine, and more.This unit adheres to established standards for care and best practices.Years of experience in similar healthcare settings are preferred.Nurses should have skills in pain assessment and management, medication reconciliation, and pre/post operative procedures.The position may require floating between sister facilities as needed.Candidates should be prepared to work some holidays during the contract.Each nurse will join a supportive interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.The overall daily patient census will range from 80-100, and the unit is equipped to handle a variety of surgical cases. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
