The Food and Beverage Supervisor for The Living Room and Tree of Life is responsible for supporting the successful day-to-day operation of The Living Room and Tree of Life, with a primary focus on floor supervision, guest experience, service execution, and team member performance.

Working closely with the Director of Nightlife and other Food & Beverage leadership, the Floor Supervisor provides visible, hands-on leadership during assigned shifts, ensuring that service is executed in accordance with Faena standards and that the venues remain organized, welcoming, and operationally prepared.

This position serves as a key point of contact on the floor for team members and guests, proactively identifying service needs, resolving concerns, coordinating with supporting departments, and ensuring that the guest experience reflects the distinctive culture and hospitality of Faena.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a highly visible and active presence on the floor throughout assigned shifts, providing hands-on leadership and support to team members and engaging with guests.
• Supervise the daily floor operations of The Living Room and Tree of Life during assigned shifts, ensuring consistent execution of Faena service standards.
• Support the Director of Nightlife and Food & Beverage leadership in the overall operation and performance of the venues.
• Lead pre-shift meetings as assigned to communicate reservations, VIPs, special occasions, entertainment, events, operational updates, service expectations, and other relevant information.
• Ensure team members are properly positioned and prepared for service and assist with adjusting floor assignments and coverage based on business levels and operational needs.
• Provide direction, coaching, and real-time feedback to team members regarding service standards, performance, appearance, professionalism, and guest engagement.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment and ensure team members support one another throughout service.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all hotel departments to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.
• Coordinate with Culinary, Stewarding, Security, Engineering, Housekeeping, Entertainment, Reservations, and other departments as necessary to support venue operations and the guest experience.
• Regularly communicate with the Director of Nightlife and F&B Leadership regarding venue operations, guest feedback, team performance, incidents, operational challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain complete knowledge of The Living Room and Tree of Life concepts, menus, beverage offerings, entertainment and programming, hours of operation, reservation procedures, and service standards.
• Ensure team members have the necessary knowledge regarding menu offerings, beverage selections, entertainment, programming, and venue information to confidently assist guests.
• Ensure service areas are properly set, maintained, organized, and presented in accordance with Faena standards throughout the shift.
• Ensure The Living Room and Tree of Life are maintained in accordance with Company policies and applicable safety and environmental requirements.
• Monitor venue cleanliness and ensure established cleaning schedules and standards are followed.
• Identify maintenance, equipment, or facility concerns and promptly communicate them to the appropriate department and leadership.
• Maintain knowledge of the correct use and care of venue equipment and ensure equipment is used only as intended.
• Enforce Company standards for consistent, personalized, and quality service.
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
• Personally engage with guests throughout service to assess satisfaction and provide assistance when appropriate.
• Respond to guest concerns and complaints promptly, professionally, and in accordance with Company standards, escalating matters to leadership when appropriate.
• Assist with VIP recognition, special occasions, repeat guest preferences, and other personalized service opportunities.
• Support the execution of entertainment, special events, activations, sporting events, and other programming taking place within The Living Room and Tree of Life.
• Ensure the Living Room reservation and seating process is properly maintained and that Hosts/Hostesses adhere to established reservation and seating guidelines.
• Monitor guest flow, table availability, seating, and service pacing to support an efficient and seamless operation.
• Assist Hosts/Hostesses, Servers, Bartenders, Barbacks, Bussers, and other team members as operational needs require.
• Ensure Company policies, departmental procedures, service standards, and rules of conduct are consistently followed and applied in a fair and equitable manner.
• Address team member performance or conduct concerns appropriately and promptly communicate significant matters to the Director of Nightlife or appropriate leadership.
• Assist with training and development of team members, including reinforcing Faena service standards and departmental procedures.
• Ensure team members understand the goals of the Company and department and the action plans established to achieve those goals.
• Communicate operational expectations, priorities, and departmental goals clearly and consistently to team members.
• Monitor waste, breakage, product usage, and other controllable expenses and reinforce established cost-control procedures.
• Assist with equipment and operating-supply inventories as assigned.
• Support management in monitoring revenue, costs, and operational performance and communicate discrepancies or concerns when identified.
• Assist with implementing new policies, standard operating procedures, service initiatives, and Faena programs as assigned.
• Continuously observe venue operations and provide recommendations to the Director of Nightlife regarding opportunities to improve service, efficiency, team performance, and the overall guest experience.
• Complete opening and/or closing responsibilities as assigned, ensuring the venue is properly prepared for operation or secured following service.
• Prepare or contribute to shift reports, incident documentation, guest notes, and operational updates as required.
• Immediately communicate significant guest, employee, safety, security, or operational incidents to the appropriate member of management.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of beverage offerings, including spirits, cocktails, wines, champagnes, non-alcoholic offerings, pricing, preparation, presentation, and service standards.
• Partner with Food & Beverage leadership to continuously evaluate and enhance beverage offerings based on guest preferences, brand positioning, industry trends, operational performance, and profitability.
• Establish and maintain appropriate par levels for wine, spirits, and other beverage products across assigned venues.
• Oversee beverage purchasing, receiving, storage, issuance, transfers, and inventory controls.
• Partner closely with Purchasing and the F&B Buyer regarding ordering, product availability, vendor relationships, pricing opportunities, and strategic purchases.
• Ensure monthly beverage inventories are completed accurately and timely and that results are reviewed and reported in accordance with Finance requirements.
• Monitor beverage costs against established goals and promptly investigate and address unfavorable variances.
• Conduct and/or oversee beverage control audits, including pour testing, measurements, product controls, transfers, breakage, waste, and other loss-prevention measures.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service standards and applicable food and beverage regulations are consistently followed.

Physical Abilities

The physical requirements of this position include the ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the working day; frequently move throughout indoor and outdoor Food & Beverage environments; safely navigate crowded, uneven, or confined spaces; and visually identify and respond to potentially unsafe conditions.

The position may require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally exerting greater force in connection with operational responsibilities. The team member must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Because The Living Room and Tree of Life operate based on business and entertainment needs, regular availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events is required.
